28 Sept 13 - Elbo Room
Happy 24th Anniversary, Elbo Room!
Ever since 1989, Elbo Room has been serving Chicago's local music scene by showcasing young, up and coming bands/artists on its stages, blogspot readers. From The Smoking Popes to Liquid Soul to Soul Coughing and Local H as well as Janus, Ratt and I Fight Dragons ...plus many, many more have graced this venue's stage before becoming nationally known acts. Continuing its tradition of showcasing live and diverse local (and non-local) talent, this establishment held a rockin' celebration featuring performances by Letters to Lillian (on the acoustic stage upstairs), The Private Instigators, The Fall of the Real Studs and 26th Star Project (on the main stage downstairs). However, instead of reviewing the celebratory event, SouthSide ditched the pad and pen to document it through pictures as well as a few of her favorites taken over the years.
